Cancer attacks more than the body. It attacks the minds of the patients and their families. Imagine the difficulty of telling a child, “Mommy has cancer.” For the patient and the family, that’s just the beginning.
Some people find great strength when faced with illness. But for others, the onset of a catastrophic illness can be emotionally devestating. For those people, the Hospice of the Rapidan, Family Care/Home Health Care and Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Center can provide much-needed services and support.
Hospice of the Rapidan is dedicated to the emotional, physical, psychological and spiritual well-being of terminally ill patients and their families.
Family Care/Home Health Care is dedicated to providing in-home medical care to people suffering from physical illness, whether the person is terminally ill or not.
Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Center provides services to the elderly, such as “meals on wheels” and “respite care.”
