Lord Fairfax Community College will be offering several continuing education courses at various locations throughout the area during the fall quarter.

Auditing I will be offered on Monday evenings at the college’s campus in Middletown as the first in a three quarter sequence in auditing. The sequence is designed for paraprofessionals who have had some accounting or bookkeeping courses or some on-the-job accounting training. It presupposes some familiarity with balance sheets and income statements.

The classes will include study of detailed auditing of assets and liabilities, revenue expenses and owners’ equity. The auditor’s position in the economy, professional ethics, auditing and data processing, statistical sampling and audit reports will also be studied.

State approved Geriatric Nursing Assistant Training, an 80-hour classroom and practical program, will also be offered. The classroom portion of the training will be held at the college on Wednesday evenings
