Peoples Bank of Front Royal, las awarded a $1,000 scholarship to Christendom College student Paul Clark, who is beginning his second ear at the four-year liberal arts col?ge.
Mr. Clark, 18, is a Marine Corps eservist who plans to major in polit;al science in preparation for a caeer in the military. He completed asic training this summer at Parris sland, South Carolina.
Peoples Bank Executive Vice ‘resident Don Unger said his bank warded the scholarship not only to elp a local student obtain an educaon, but also to draw community atmtion to the small Catholic college rhich opened its doors ten years go. “We’re a local bank and we w'ant 3 help local students,” said Unger. We’re a local bank meeting local eeds. We think the college is a very nportant part of the community nd will continue to be even more so i the future. ”
