The Emergency Medical Technician class is the basic emergency medical course required by the state for a person to be the attendant in charge on an emergency ambulance. It covers all medical and trauma emergencies, as well as vehicle extrications and rescue techniques.
The course will be held at Culpeper Memorial Hospital on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to noon, beginning Feb. 2. Anyone who wishes additional information about the course, or to register, should call the EMS Council office, 825-6849. The deadline for registration is Jan. 28.
