The Rappahannock County Library Second Friday Series will present the sculptor Natalie Lewis, who will discuss the art of direct carving and display some of her works on Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. at the library.
A resident of Flint Hill for many years, Mrs. Lewis has taught at Woodberry Forest School in Orange for 17 years as well as having held classes for especially qualified students in her home studio.
Mrs. Lewis was awarded a scholarship to attend the Parsons School of Design in New York and, after completing that training, extended her education through her affiliation for eight years with the Art Students’ League of New York, where she studied with John Hovannes.
