Del. Guest said that he also plans to introduce a bill mandating the death penalty for adults convicted of selling cocaine, heroin, LSD and PCP to minors. “We need to tell tho drug dealers that we are making a special effort to protect our kids. 1 think that when adults potentially ruin the lives of dozens of youngsters, five to 20 years is not enough penalty.”
He added that he is not optimistic that the bill will pass, explaining that the courts committee hai not been active in recent years ir widening the range of offenses foi which the death penalty could apply.
