Wakefield students swept the majority of awards in the ninth annual Christmas Story Writing Contest sponsored by Samuels’ Library. The contest is open to all children in area schools and this year was expanded to include children in grades 9 to 11. Previously it was open only to grades 1 through 8.
The following Wakefield stydents won awards:
Grade 1: Stephanie Tholand (2n0).
Grade 2: Cora Monahan (2nd), Van DeBergh (3rd).
Grade 3: Welby Lynn (1st), Chrissy.Ohlinger (2nd).
