Historical Society open daily
The Rappahannock County Historical Society building, on Cay St., is open daily from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday during the summer. Inside, visitors will find extensive geneological and historical information about Rappahannock and its people. The society also has a i number of items for sale, including notepaper with sketches of the county's \ ; historic buildings, a history of the counties of Virginia and prints of "The Frontiersman."
Maurice Dawkins to visit
Republican Senate candidate Maurice Dawkins will visit Rappahannock on Wednesday, july 27. During a swing ‘ y through the district, Mr. Dawkins will stop at the county courthouse from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Residents are invited to come and meet the candidate.
