The final stope, Red Hill, was where 40 members and friends stood for the business meeting under a 400 year old Osage Oak in the shadow of Patrick Henry’s law office. Red Hill, in Brookneal, was the favorite of
Patrick Henry’s many homes, which he called “one of the garden spots of the world.” The plantation had 2,920 acres, a modest home, and where two of his seventeen children were bom.
