Motorists warned of deer
The Virginia State Police warn v ’ - ,b motorists to be extremely carefu I when > driving on the county's roads, especially i : after dark. A number of accidents in recent weeks have been caused by deer crossing the road in front of vehicles. The danger will continue through the winter, as the | animals move during the cold weather. State Police recommend that motorists scan the roadsides for the glint from animals' eyes, and to never out-drive their headlights; in other words, be able to stop within the distance illuminated ahead.
