Ostomy Support group meeting

REAP teachers meeting
Anyone interested in teaching college-level courses in Rappahannock County is invited to attend a teacher orientation meeting sponsored by the Rappahannock Education Action Project (REAP) and Lord Fairfax Community Colege. The meeting will be held on Sunday, Dec. 11 from 2-3:30p.m. at Middle Street Gallery. Dr. Ron Ludwick, Director of Continuing Education, LFCC and Dr. Hal McMullan, Dean of Arts and Sciences, LFCC will provide prospective teachers with information and application materials on becoming accredited through LFCC, salaries, course requirements and back-up resources available to teachers through LFCC. Santa to be at CVFD
Santa is coming to the Castleton Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. Area residents are invited to attend and bring the children, according to a spokesperson for the department.
'A Fish Called Wanda'
The movie A Fisk Called Wanda will be playing at Gay Street Theater on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m. each evening. Monty Python veterans John Cleese and Michael Palin team up with American stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Kevin Kline for this offbeat, comic look at the love-hate relationship between the British and Americans. Cleese, who also wrote the screenplay, stars as a stuffy English attorney defending one of an oddly-assorted gang of jewel thieves. Among the thieves is Curtis, a seductive con woman who takes a liking to Cleese when he becomes the accidental owner of an extremely valuable item from the gang’s recent heist. This film will have audiences roaring with laughter. The movie is rated R. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children.
CCLC Christmas bazaar
The Child Care and Learning Center will hold its third annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the center. There will be light refreshments and lunch served, pictures with Santa, a raffle, erafters and a puppet show from 3-4 p.m. The center’s enormously popular childrens’ shopping room — where the kids can shop for gifts on their own — will also be open all day.
