The 93rd Annual Meeting of the Virginia Horticultural Society and the 12th Annual Peach Conference will be held Jan. 15-18, 1989, at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville. Titled “Managing Change in the 1990s and Beyond,” the agenda at this conference will include the winter meeting of the Small Fruit Bramble Producers on Jan. 16 and a Beginners Grape Growing Seminar on Jan. 17.
Keynote speakers will be Dr. Warren Stiles of Ithaca, N.Y., and Dr. Bruce Barritt of Wenatchee, Wash.
Dr. Stiles is professor and department extension leader in the Department of Pomology at Cornell University. With 30 years of horticultural experience, Dr. Stiles currently has extension, research and teaching responsibilities in the areas of orchard nutrition and tree-fruit cultural practices.
