Max, a German shepherd
trained in Richmond by the Virginia State Police Department, has been assigned to Trooper C.A. Moore of Rappahannock, who also underwent the rigid handler’s training course of 12 weeks. Max is one of 12 dogs in the state, two in each of the six divisions, which have received training for tracking, attack and obedience. “He is a one-man dog,” says Moore, “trained for my command and protection, as well.”
