Hunter education course
The Virginia Game Commission will sponsor a Hunter Education Course in August, with the dates set tentatively for Aug. 5 and 6. According to Game Warden Jim Bankston, pre-registration for the class is now required, and it will not be taught if there are not 10 people who express interest. Warden Bankston reminds residents that the course is required of all first-time hunters and all hunters less than 16 years old. Proof of completion of a stateapproved hunter education course is required of all those hunters before a license will be issued.
