Included in the $10,000 was $247.00 raised by Suzette Turner prior to her withdrawing from the contest.
Appreciation was expressed to Donna Sheffield who arranged and presented roses to the contestants, as well as the contest coordinators Cathy Smith who helped with honorary fire chief and Lorraine Early who helped with prince and princess.
The contestants worked very hard to raise funds, as well as parents and friends. A special thanks also to many in the community who purchased tickets or made donations.
Unfortunately, Lorraine Early underwent surgery the same day as her daughter’s crowning and was unable to witness the joyous event.
