The son of the feudal rulers lived among the villagers and told them of their relationship to the castle dwellers. Then he returned to his home. Some of the people believed his message, that they, too, were part of the royal family, and accepted the many gifts and the new life which the lord and his lady offered all their children.
Others scoffed and said it was not so. The servants who lived in the castle denounced the message as a misquoting or misunderstanding of the son. They believed that they were the only true children in the family. The villagers squabbled among themselves until they all came to know and to live the truth.
And that’s the way our planet is.
