HELPING HAND TO NEW OWNER

Houses are like people. No two are exactly alike and some have idiosyncrasies that only their owners understand. As far as our office is concerned, the sale of a home is not complete until the new owners move into the house and feel a part of it. As the seller, you can make this transition more pleasurable and less stressful by lending a helping hand. Offer as much information as possible about the house itself, the neighborhood, and people who have helped make the house “tick” for you. Prepare a piece of paper to leave in the house that would include the following: Names of adjacent neighbors; phone numbers of the local police and fire department; special directions for the furnace, disposal, dishwasher, or any other appliances you are leaving; names of your plumber, furnace repairman, electrician, landscaper and paperboy; unique things about the house and any special care you give to trees, grass or shrubs.

This information takes little time to gather and it will be greatly appreciated by the new owner.
