Mr. Forbush and his passenger, Sandra M. Forbush, were taken to Warren Memorial Hospital in Front Royal. Mr. Forbush was treated and released, and Mrs. Forbush was listed in satisfactory condition Wednesday morning with a back injury.
Trooper Hawkins said that no charges will be filed in the accident. His report stated that Mr. Mcllwee was apparently not wearing his seatbelt. Mr. Forbush was protected by the airbags in his Mercedes, and his wife was wearing a seat belt and shoulder harness.
The trooper listed damage to the Mercedes at $25,000.
Fire and rescue personnel from Flint Hill, Amissville, Washington, Sperryville and Chester Gap responded to the accident.
