Any solution to the complaints of young people loitering around Washington’s Post Office will probably involve the county as well.-——
After a lengthy discussion at the Town Council meeting last Wednesday, several of the young people present said they would be willing to use the county park as a recreation area. However, that now closes at dark, and permission to lengthen its hours would be needed from the Recreation Authority and the Board of Supervisors.
Meanwhile, Eileen Day, owner of the Clopton House and one of two property owners who swore out trespass notices against 11 members of the group which often congregated in the Trinity Episcopal Church parking lot, said that unless other property owners agree to join the effort she will have the notices rescinded.
