Fee Day at Rappahannock County Elementary School will have some added elements this year, according to principal Bernard Chesshir and assistant principal Raye Tupper.
In an effort to make the transition back into the new school year easier for parents and students, the school will hold a combined “Back to School/Fee Day” on Thursday, Aug. 30. The faculty and staff of the elementary school, along with members of the RCES Parent-Teacher Organization will be on hand from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. to assist parents and students.
The schedule for the day’s activities will be as follows:
2-2:30 p.m.: Assembly for all parents and students in the elementary school’s multi-purpose room. This will be an informational gathering.
2:30-5 p.m.: Parents and students will visit classrooms to meet teachers. Each teacher will present information on the upcoming year’s classes and answer questions. They will also distribute textbook rental forms. Parents will then go to the
