Edward and Ruth Clark and Bobby and Sarah Brown and daughters Amanda and Bobbie Jo have returned home from vacation after camping for eight days in Canada, New York and Pennsylvania. Places they toured in Toronto were Historic Fort York (War of 1812) and the Metro Toronto Zoo and the C.N. Tower which is 1,815 foot high with the world’s highest and largest revolving restaurant, its the world’s tallest free-standing structure. In Ontario all toured the Niagara Falls and the Skylon Tower which is 775 foot above the falls and the Niagara Gorge and they visited Historic Old Fort Eric (War 1812-1814) on Lake Erie. The night time attractions were beautiful on Clifton Hill. In Lancaster, Pa. the group enjoyed shopping at the farmer’s market and craft shops and had dinner on Friday night at Millers Smorgasbord. On Saturday night they attended Armish church services before returning home on Sunday evening.
Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Campbell were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Campbell of Frederick, Md. and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gardener of Sikesville, Md.
We would like to wish Tim Falls of Woodville a speedy recovery. Tim had back surgery at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton on Monday.
The community was sorry to hear of the death of Mrs. Suzie W. Brown of Sperry ville. Our condolences to her family.
Recent Saturday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Weakley were Mrs. Frank Burns of Haverton, Pa. and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Houser of Haddon Heights, New Jersey. The Weakleys and their guests had a buffet breakfast on Sunday morning at Brookside near Luray.
