Bridesmaids were Ann Oliver of Beaufort, N.C. and Elizabeth Oliver of Woodville, sisters of the groom.
The bridesmaids were matching princess line dresses of forest green flowered chintz. Three tiers of deep ruffles topped by a self bow provided back detailing for the full tea length dresses. They carried straw hats trimmed with miniature pink and white carnations, baby’s breath and bows matching the dresses.
Mr. W.W. Oliver served as best man.
Groomsmen were Hank Maxey of Chatham, brother of the bride and John Ayres of Blacksburg.
An outdoor reception followed the ceremony at the Maxey Farm.
The bride is a graduate of VP I & SU. She is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at VPI & SU.
The bridegroom is a graduate of VPI & SU. He is attending the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine.
Following their wedding trip, the couple will live in Blacksburg.
