Heidi Templeton Maxey of Chatham and William Washington Oliver, VI of Woodville were married on Saturday, July 28, at Hopewell United Methodist Church, Dry Fork, VA.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Henry Maxey, Sr. of Chatham. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W.W. Oliver, V of Woodville.
The Rev. Linwood G. Cook performed the double-ring ceremony.
Judie Noel, organist, Judy Preskitt, organist, Margaret Sexton, violinist, Wellons Stowe, soloist, Lisa Yeatts, cellist and Lydie Yeatts, violinist, presented the music.
Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a formal ballerina length polished cotton gown accented with lace. The fitted bodice with a drop waistline and pin-tucked front panel featured a deep v back, set off by a wide bow and full skirt. She carried a bouquet of white roses, miniature pink carnations and baby’s breath.
