Uli Maeyer of Sperryville was named Rappahannock High varsity soccer coach for the coming season, it was announced last week.
Mr. Maeyer previously coached Wakefield School for seven years, compiling a 118-26-13 record.
Practice for the Panthers starts Aug. 12.
“I’m picking up coaching again because I see such a strong effort made by the people of Rappahannock County to establish successful youth leagues,” said Mr. Maeyer.
He said that there is “such a great bunch of kids coming up that I feel it’s time for me to step in and help out.”
