Tent dance at Washington VFD
A tent dance at the Washington Fire Hall on Aug. 17 will benefit the Washington Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
The performing band will be Cross Country and it will begin at 8 p.m. and play until midnight.
All ages are welcome. Admission is: under 3 free, 4-12 $4, single $8, and couples $15.
Food and refreshments will be sold, including beer for those 21 and older along with games for the children.
RAAC Sunday movie: 'F/X 2'
"F/X 2" will be playing at The Theater at Washington, Va. at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4.
As much fun as "F/X," movie special effects guy, Bryan Brown, tries out his tricks again to create the deadly art of illusion.
Interwoven in the plot of bad cop/bad mafia, Brown delivers a sackful of gee-whiz gadgetry and people foiling ploys by making super toys. A good blend of special effects and comical twists, this is a wonderful boys-with-toys movie. Also starring Brian Dennehy and Rachel Ticotin.

C.M. Crockett Park hosts popular singer/songwriter Vicky Pratt Keating of Sperryville in the Waterside Amphitheater at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3.
Ms. Keating performs a blend of folk, pop, and acoustic rock, original as well as nostalgic.
