D.C.-based location manager is scouting possible farm houses for use . in a planned* Touchstone Pictures movie about terrorism, and Rappahannock is among the counties being considered. t
The location manager, Kevin-Brubaker, is working with county officials John McCarthy and Tommy Williams in his search for an old farm house that would be dynamited in one of the movie’s scenes. Mr. Brubaker has visited a few sites in Rappahannock, but emphasized this week that many aspects of the project remain unresolved.
He called the film a “suspense thriller" but said that he “can’t confirm other story elements.” No other details, such as casting, have been finalized, he said.
Mr. Brubaker added that filming is expected to begin in the spring, but even that has not been confirmed.
The search for a suitable house extends to Fauquier and other Virginia counties, as well as to locations in Maryland.
