Ervy Johnson

Ervy William Johnson, 80, of Front Royal, formerly of Gid Brown Hollow, Washington, died Friday, Jan. 10 at his home.

The funeral was conducted Monday, Jan. 13 at the Maddox Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard McDonald. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson was bom June 15, 1911, in Browntown, the son of the late Samuel and Ella Spade Johnson. He was retired after 31 years from the FMC Corp. and after eight years of service from the Warren Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Front Royal Church of the Brethren and was the husband of the late Lennis Curry Johnson.

Surviving are his wife, Nellie Virginia Johnson; a son, Austin Johnson of Front Royal; two daughters, Anna Reather of Covington and Doris Clatterbuck of Front Royal; a sister, Audrey Clatterbuck of Front Royal; a stepdaughter, Linda Thompson of Front Royal; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a stepgreat-granddaughter and a great-great-granddaughter.
