gets charter
To the Editor:
On Dec. 20, officers of the Potomac Tri-State Territory of the American Red Cross came to the Fauquier chapter and conducted an in-depth chapter review. As a result of this review the Fauquier Chapter, serving Fauquier and Rappahan- , nock counties, again has its charter. I would like to thank this newspaper for all of the publicity it has given us during the last year and the citizens of Fauquier and Rappahannock for their outpouring of support.
We will continue to conduct the government mandated service, disaster relief and service to military families; the chapter has aided the victims of four single house fires, in the amount of $2,000, during the last three months. With our charter we hope to expand our services and begin health and safety courses in the spring.
We wanted to share our good news with you regarding our charter. Disaster education, the raising of funds, and the collection of blood continues; the support of each one of you is needed to keep this chapter healthy.
