A new member, an application for a new Equivalent Dwelling Unit (EDU), and a vote to inspect the infrastructure of the Sperryville sewer system was the main business for the Water and Sewer Authority (WSA) at their meeting last week.
The new member, F.D. Coffey,' Sperryville, was welcomed to the WSA by chairman Eugene Leggett. Coffey replaces Mark Bailey wrhose term recently expired. ---
The authority approved the application of Ernest and Evon Clater for a new EDU for their proposed residence to be built in Sperryville. An EDU is the basic billing unit for sewer service, and represents the sewer service required by a typical private residence. Sewer users are billed $21.50 monthly for each EDU. Business establishments may require several EDUs.
