* Minnie-Lee Williams Wire Summers was born in Decatur, Texas. She was the daughter of The Honorable and Mrs. Guinn Williams of Decatur and San Angelo, Texas. She spent most of her youth in Washington, D.C. since her father was in Congress for many years, representing the Thirteenth District of Texas. She attended Ward Belmont in Nashville, Tennessee, The University of Colorado, and George Washington University. She died on August 28, 1993 at The Bethesda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Chevy Chase, Md. of a heart ailment. She was 86 years old. t Mrs. Summers married C. Raymond Wire, of Washington, D.Q. a prominent civil engineer wh<p graduated with honors from Lehigh University. For many years Mr. Wire was active in his own real estate business as a designer of Blagen Park and a developer in various real estate properties in the Washington community.
After Mr. Wire’s death in 1963, she married in 1965 Paul Dilwryn Summers, of Philadelphia, Washington, and Manila, who was a retired AID Operations Director Far East operations. He died in 1991.
Mrs. Summers, resided in Washington, Va. and maintained a home locally and a ranch in Texas. She enjoyed painting and exhibited her art in various special exhibits both locally and in Texas. She was very involved in many charity and community activities. She was a member of the Daughters of The American Revolution^ The Nation Society of Arts and Letters, The Washington Ballet, The Texas State Society, The Ft. Clark (TX) Association, The Garden Club of Chevy Chase. The Rappahannock Hunt, The Silgrave Club, The Washington Club, and Congressional Country Club. For many years she served on many Boards in the community.'
She is survived by twin daughters, Ramona Monica Riddell of South Carolina and Rosemary Wire Anderson and William Wallace Anderson V, son-in-law of Bethesda, Md.; three grandsons, Raymond' Wire Riddell, of Los Angeles, Cal., R. Russell Riddell, of Virginia Beach, and Wildi W. Riddell, of In, ivood, W.Va.; Lorane Andrews Wilson, Lucile Andrews Weldon, nieces; William Andrews, nephew, all of Potomac, Md.; Virginia Summers Martin, step-daughter of Williamsburg, and Paul D. Summers, Jr., step-son of Charlottesville, seven step-grandchildren and 11 step-greatgrand-chidlren.
