Shirley Maude Shelton, 81, of Chester Gap died Saturday, Aug. 28 at her home.
Graveside services were conducted Tuesday at Willis Chapel Church Cemetery by the Rev. ■ James W. Burke. J Mrs. Shelton was born Feb. 1, $912 in Baldwin, Kan., the daughter «f the late Charles P. Cheney and llyrtle M. Chastain. 5 She was retired from the U.S. fjovernment. She was a member of the Kissimmee Free Methodist Church in Kissimmee, Fla., the ^American Association of Retired people and the National Association $f Retired Federal Employees. * She was the wife of the late Josjpeh Shelton. I Surviving are one son, Robert D. {Shelton of Winchester; two brothers, Howard P. Cheney of Lawrence, Kan. and Edward G. Chastain of Hemet, Calif.; one sister, Grace R. Moore of Front Royal; fight grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
