The Plains, Va.-Bucking broncs, twisting bulls and daring cowboys will thrill the crowds at the third annual Old Dominion Rodeo, coming to i. Great Meadow Sept. 11 and 12. A new competition-team roping-has also been added to the day’s events.
The rodeo, sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) in conjunction with stock contractor Bob Barnes, will also include bareback riding, bull riding, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, calf and team roping. A PRCA-sanctioned rodeo guarantees top-ranked professional riders and handlers; as added incentive, organizer T. Roy Wright of Hume has guaranteed prize money of $1,000 in each event.
