It was with great interest that I read the article “Down An Ancient Trail," bv Wayne F. Baldwin, in the August 18, 1993 issue of the Rappahannock Men's. I have always been interested in your historical articles since my maternal and paternal ancestors were native to Rappahannock County.
1 was pleasantly surprised to read that the author had visited the Armentrout Cemetery in Thornton Hollow. I can faintly remember as a little boy in the 30s~seeing CCC boys developing the Park and skeletons of dying Chestnut trees-with my parents traveling remote areas over barely relative or friend that live there.
I look forward to following your trail in the not-to-distant future to the cemetery as I believe the Mrs. L.E. (Louise Judd) Armentrout. mentioned was my great grand-' mother. ROBERT W. ARMENTROUT
