Both boys’ basketball teams picked up come-from-behind victories Monday night in games with Strasburg rescheduled from FridayFor

the varsity the 71-62 victory marks the second district win with four losses. The JV won its eighth victory and remains undefeated.

In the varsity contest the Panthers fell behind 17-15 in the first quarter, held their own in the second quarter to trail 30-28 at the half, and pulled ahead early in the second half, never relinquishing the lead again.

Jason Settle scored 25 points to lead the Panthers. Willie Eastham led the rebounding with nine.

The JV also fell behind in the first half but gained the lead in the second half to lead 34 to 26 at the end of the third period. The Strasburg JV struggled back and the score was tied at 43 with 10 seconds to go. Jason Baldwin sank the winning bucket giving the JV squad a 45 to 43 victory.
