Additional survivors include six grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 11 in the Culpeper National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to the Culpeper County Library Building Fund, 105 E. Mason St., Culpeper, Va. 22701.

Clarence Gore

* Mr. Clarence Gore, 97, of Reva, died on Monday, Jan. 9 at his residence.

He was born in Rappahannock County on Aug. 5,1897.

He was a retired farmer.

He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for 83 years, Deacon for 48 years and a Charter members of the Salem Ruritan Club.

His parents were the late Absalam Byrd and Nannie Maude Spicer Gore.

Survivors include two sisters, Miss Nannie Maude Gore and Mrs. Gladys Gore Carpenter, both of Reva; a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Willie Gore, Edward Gore, Albert Gore, Walter Gore and Charles Ashby Gore and one sister, Sarah Adeline Gore.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Bethel Baptist Church with fhe Rev. Kenneth Huneycutt officiating assisted by the Rev. Gordon George.

Interment will be in Bethel Baptist Churth Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Leon Thompson, Garnett Carpenter, William R. Abell, James Broyles, Carl Broyles, Edwin Carpenter, Wade Brumett and James Dowell.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church or Salem Rescue Squad.
