On Sunday two employees of the Rappahannock County Sheriffs Office, Major Rich McWelch and Capt. Jeff Brown, were called in to help Park Police and the FBI collect evidence.
The murders remained unsolved at year’s end. Lyn Rothgeb, spokesperson for Shenandoah National Park, said this week that the FBI and National Park Service are still getting leads and are still investigating the murders. Anyone with information can call toll-free 888-856-2467.
