Francis Settle

Francis “Jerry” Gerald Settle, 66, of Boston, died on Thursday, May 14 at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 14, 1932 in Rawlings to the late Walker Benjamin Settle and Frances Mason Flinn Settle.
Mr. Settle was a Mason and a former Lions Club member. He graduated from Virginia Tech and was employed at Fauquier Feed Supply for 16 years. He was a member of Culpeper United Methodist Church.
Mr. Settle is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janice Delbridge Settle; two daughters, Susan S. Link of Abingdon and Ellen R Beck of Fredericksburg; two grandsons , J. Benjamin Link and Matthew J. Beck; one granddaughter, Hannah M. Link; two brothers, W. Flinn of Edgewater, Md., and Charles B. Settle of Capron, Va.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, May 17 at Found and Sons Funeral Home in Culpeper with Rev. Rick Ritchie officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery.

Virginia Mills

Virginia Marie Mills, 70, of Front Royal, died Saturday, May 16 at Lynn Care Center in Front Royal.
A funeral service was conducted Tuesday at Maddox Funeral Home with Rev. Alice Campbell. Interment followed at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal.
Mrs. Mills was born July 1, 1927 in Warren County, daughter of Eli and Annie Manuel Vaught. She was a member of the Front Royal Church of the Brethren. She was married to Luther Henry Mills.
Mrs. Mills had many friends in the Flint Hill area.
Surviving along with her husband are two daughters Faye Smoot and Kaye Ruffner of Front Royal; one sister Maude Burdette of Front Royal; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Mills was predeceased by five brothers Hunter Vaught, Stuart Vaught, Haywood Vaught, Charles Vaught, and Jerome Vaught.
Pallbearers were Luther C. Ruffner, Brian K. Ruffner, Scott L. Smoot, John E. Jenkins, and Lynn Funk.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Vaught, John Jenkins,III, Stevie Sealock, Larry Bryant, and Tommy Showers.
