NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON TOWN BUDGET
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT on Wednesday, June 10, 1998, at the regularly scheduled meeting of the Town Council of the Town of Washington, Virginia, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the Town Hall on Gay Street, Washington, Virginia, there will be a Second Public Hearing held to consider the adoption of the Town's Budget for the fiscal year 1998-1999. At the council meeting held on May 13, 1998, after the public hearing, the Town Council decided to amend the budget for the 1998-1999 fiscal year, primarily to reduce expenditures for certain items, and to increase capital reserves for possible sewer improvements and waterworks improvements. A synopsis of the Budget is set forth below and a copy of the detailed proposed Budget for fiscal year 1998-1999 is available during normal business hours in the Town Hall on Gay Street and in the Office of the County Administrator of Rappahannock County, also on Gay Street. Members of the public are invited to attend these public hearings and make their views known at the date and time aforesaid.
The Town Council will hold a special meeting of the Council at 7:30 p.m., June 24,1998 at the Town Hall for the purpose of voting on the 1998-1999 Town Budget.
