in 1945 and of the Rev. Jennings W. Hobson, Jr in 1991, she is survived by her children, the Rev. and Mrs. Jennings Hobson III of Washington, Va. Raymond and Eleinor Fukushima of Mechanicsville, Va., and Dr. and Mrs. James F. Hobson of Germantown, Md., and by six grandchildren including Jennings IV and Berkeley of Washington, Va.
She joined her husband in serving Episcopal churches in Tanana, Alaska; Jefferson County,W. Va.; and Hanover, Loudoun, Page, and Jouisa counties in Virginia.
She was a homemaker, a teacher in Loudoun County, and active in the Episcopal Church Women and several garden clubs. A talented baker and crafts person, she did much to raise funds for the organizations of which she was part.
Services were conducted May 16 at Immanuel Episcopal Church in Mechanicsville, by the Rt. Rev. David Lewis, the Rt. Rev. Clayton Matthews, the Rt. Rev. David Jones, and the Rev. Anthony Pompa. Interment was in the churchyard.
