November is here and that means it’s time for Culpeper’s annual Downtown Holiday Open House. Enjoy all the fun Sunday, Nov. 22 from 12 to 5 p.m. This will be an afternoon of entertainment, old world demonstrations and wonderful shopping. The activities will include pictures with Santa from 1 to 5 p.m. at Soutter’s Florist; charming horse drawn carriage rides; delightful storytelling at the Museum; the children’s bell choir from St. Luke’s; a puppet show; area church choirs singing holiday music, quilting and needlepoint demonstrations, wood carving, ham curing at Calhoun’s; the Good Time Cloggers and a special performance by members of the 3rd US Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, Brian and Linda Ledbetter. Several delightful shops and restaurants will be open 'this special day offering delicious holiday food and drink plus holiday gift ideas and special buys. There will even be a drawing for an Amtrak trip for two and a beautiful Culpeper afghan.
