Rappahannock County High’s superduper cross country team captured its third Class A state championship in as many years of competition. The state meet was held Saturday in Williamsburg. The Panthers took the third consecutive championship over the 2.4 mile course with a team score of 26. Brenda Gaye Jett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel M. Jett of Flint Hill, was among 36 students from Virginia State College, Petersburg who made “Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.
