also a need for a pastor’s office that has some privacy”. In response to these needs, they began making tentative plans in the early 1990’s. Later they consulted an architect, and ultimately hired local contractor Bob Metcalfe for the work.

In addition to better handicapped access- a ramp, wide hallways, restroom facilities and such, and expanded office space, the new addition houses a substantial fellowship hall that can be divided into a number of additional classrooms.

Aesthetically, as well as functionally, the pastor and the congregation are very happy and excited with the current expansion. It was designed to blend in with and match the original building as well as possible.

The trademark, if you will, of the original church, is its distinctive steeple, and with the addition, Pastor Bailey says: “we wanted something to match up with our beautiful steeple, and we had a beautiful cupola that was donated to us they did a wonderful job proportioning it with the original steeple. The architect did .a super job... we’re very pleased.”
