Rappahannock County High School. ! The Rappahannock Ski Corporation has petitioned federal district court for approval of the sale of the ski area northwest of Washington. The Ski Corporation is proposing to sell the land in two tracts. ! The tract of 40.6 acres would be sold to Edgar A. Brenner for $500 an acre. Brenner * already owns land adjoining the ski area. Rappahannock County High School senior Elizabeth Oliver was notified recently that » she will receive a National Merit Scholarship. 1 Oliver found out last fall that she was among ' 15,000 National Merit Semifinalist. 1 State winners in the technology education } competition from Rappahannock County High. School included Jason Grimsley, Tucker Rogers, Liz Oliver, Joey Dunagan, , Jeremy Tole, Bryan Clark, J.C. Welch, Jeff Hines and Chad Vanderkolk. • Roger L. Cordani of Amissville recently ! completed a 16-week school in Basic Police ; Practices and Procedures at the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy in Fairfax. Mr. Cordani, who was graduated in the top ‘» 10 percent of his class, is a lieutenant in the ’ Prince William County Fire Department.
