Flint Hill
carnival

successful
The annual Flint Hill parade and carnival came to town last week, June 13-16 and despite the threat of rain each evening, a large crowd attended the parade on Friday evening and a considerable crowd attended the other evenings.
On Saturday around midnight the awarding of prizes was the highlight of the evening when Gary Sulims of Front Royal was the winner of the 2001 S-10 Chevy pickup and John Early of Amissville took home the Black Angus heifer donated by Admiral Josef Gardiner.
The last carnival for the 2001 season will be held in Amissville June 27-30. Special ride prices will be featured each evening. The parade will be held on Thursday beginning at 7 p.m. The crowning of the queen will be held on Friday and awarding of prizes on Saturday.
