• Lacebugs feed on azaleas, pyracantha and other woody plants, causing a gray, blanched, or stippled appearance on the upper surface of the leaves. Take steps to control them as soon as you notice the damage.
• Bats can be an important weapon in the chemical-free arsenal for bug control. One big, brown bat can eat 3,000 to 7,000 insects each night.
