Harry Lee Hitt, 67, of Viewtown, formerly of Culpeper, died on Monday, June 11 at Oak Springs Nursing Home in Warrenton.
He was born on July 20, 1933 in Culpeper to the late Ralph and Elizabeth Butler Hitt.
He was the owner of Hitt’s Lawn Mower Repair Service on Broad Street in Culpeper for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Ann Hoffman Hitt; one daughter, Evelyn Hitt Kilby and her husband, Danny of Culpeper and two sons, Roger Hitt and his wife, Janet of Viewtown and Mark Wayne Hitt and his wife, Teresa of Brandy Station.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; three sisters, Edna Cooper of Culpeper, Frances Smith of Catalpa and Rachel McBride of Reno, Ohio and four brothers, Kelly Hitt of Culpeper, Ralph Hitt Jr. of Catlett, Charles Hitt of Greenforest, Ariz. and a twin brother, Harvey Hitt of Elkwood.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by a brother, Talmage Hitt.
