NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING AND INTENT TO ADOPT AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 15, “VOTING DISTRICTS,” OF THE RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY CODE The Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County, Virginia, proposes to adopt an ordinance amending Chapter 15 of the Rappahannock County Code. Chapter 15 relates to County elections and defines the County voting districts and polling places. A public hearing shall be held on the proposed ordinance at the meeting of the Board of Supervisors on 2 July 2001 at 7:00 p.m. in the Rappahannock County Courthouse, Washington, Virginia. The amending ordinance is summarized as follows: 1. It incorporates the new voting district boundaries adopted by the Board of Supervisors, after public hearing, on 4 June 2001. The new boundaries reflect the reapportion*ment required after the decennial census. 2. It updates references to sections of the Code of Virginia which have been renumbered. 3. It states the population of each District after reappointment.
