In a front page photograph County Treasurer Frances Foster was recognized for 30 years service to the county government during a ceremony Thursday.
David Davis, van operator for Crowder Transfer and Storage in Alexandria, has received the Safe Driving Award from United Van Lines. Mr. Davis has been with Crowder for the past 31 years. He has been a warehouse foreman, a dispatcher and is currently a van operator. He lives in Washington with his wife, Marie and three daughters.
The Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department has installed a 20,000 gallon water tank underneath the carnival grounds, officials announced this week.The storage tank will be used * for fires within the village and first-due area and to re-fill tanker trucks. Those contributing to the installation include Flint Hill Fire members, Serreno Excavating of Huntly, Blosser and Sons Excavating of Flint Hill, Robert Clatterbuck and Son and Gus Forbush Crane and Steel Company of Huntly.
