Special to the Rappahannock News

Conner Miller, a fourth grader at Rappahannock Elementary School, won his second 70 pound State Wrestling Title at the Virginia AAU Elementary School State Wrestling Tournament at Bayside High School in Virginia Beach on March 30. Conner won his first 70 pound State Title in the 5th and 6th Grade Division at the Virginia Middle School State Wrestling Tournament earlier this spring.

The Virginia AAU Elementary Wrestling Tournament was divided into two divisions: Kindergarten-2nd Grade, and 3rd-5th Grade. Each division was divided into specific weight brackets ranging from 65 pounds to unlimited.

Conner entered the tournament as the second seed in the 70 pound division 3rd-5th grades, and was bracketed with 14 wrestlers from across the state. In his opening match, Conner faced off with John Jennings from the Hickory Wrestling Club. Conner dominated the match from start to finish and won by a Tfech Fall 15-0.

His next opponent was Turner Bishop of the host, Kellum Wrestling Club. Conner
