THE GIFT OF LISTENING

When grieving individuals turn to friends during their time of loss, they are often faced with well-intentioned people who are paralyzed by the fear that they may say or do the wrong thing. Or, to avoid the discomfort of not knowing what to say, they may jump in and take the role of the advice giver. People may think they have the answers, but what answer can one have for someone who is dealing with death? Others are unsure of what to do. It is at this point that the bereaved should realize they are in the best position to tell people how they can help. What most grieving individuals predominantly want is the simple gift of listening.

We are skilled at the art of listening because we know, through years of experience, that often what folks want most is to be listened to when they are grieving. At the Moser Funeral Home, we know that when you have suffered a loss, it can seem inconceivable and unendurable. We’re here to help you process your feelings and thoughts as you cope with the stress of losing a loved one. Call 347-3431 (233 Broadview Ave.) Warrenton 24-hours a day.
